2024 Limited Ed. 11 "Fruitful Time"

How are you all doing? This is Yamada, writing this diary for the first time in six months.

Until recently, the days were so hot that it was hard to believe that it was autumn, but recently I have been feeling autumn-like chilly weather and thinking that winter is approaching.

This limited edition gin is inspired by a tea party held in a forest scented with llectier and black tea.

L'Eclectier is distilled at the end of last year. As I think I wrote in last year's diary, I have the impression that L'Eclectier's aroma is richer and more beautiful when it is distilled over a longer period of time. The freshly distilled one has a strong bluish taste, but after almost a year, it has a nice aroma that is rich and sensual and unique to L'Eclectier. I distilled it for use in a limited at some point this year, and I am glad I finally got to use it.

In fact, Fuse and Tanaka, the newest additions to the distillation team, gave their input on how they wanted this limited edition to look.

Fuse suggested black pepper, and Tanaka suggested fig nuts, which we combined in the llectier.

Although not overtly aromatic, the black pepper's gorgeous tanginess sets the whole thing off, and the fig's sweetness, including its greenness, probably adds depth to the overall flavor.

By the way, figs are from Tanaka's home.

Last November's limited was also a "Maison d'Orlectier" with L'Orlectier, and it was very difficult to avoid leaning on that because it was one of our quite favorite limiteds. After several discussions among the three of us, we decided to combine it with black tea to create a gin that tastes like a fruit tea, but also has a refreshing taste, and we decided on the direction for this limited edition.

Juniper berries are distilled in two types, one for aroma and the other for taste. Spices, thyme, rosemary, and other spices are also taken by vacuum distillation and blended in order to maintain the balance between the llectier and black tea flavors.

The name is "Fruitful Time" reads "Fluteful Time".

There are several origins for this name, but it was chosen because I felt deeply after I finished making this limited that we all had a lot more time to discuss and share our opinions, and that we spent a lot of fruitful time in the process of making this limited.

Six months have passed since the May Limited and we are now ready to produce this month's Limited. We hope to continue to release zines on a regular basis, but not every month, so we hope you will look forward to it. (I hope to make a zine with the image of my guess someday ♡)

Fruitful Time goes on sale Friday, November 15 at 12:00 pm.
