August’s limited edition is a “mint” gin.
YASO GIN 150 has apple mint added to it, and a generous amount of spearmint and Japanese hacca have also been added.
The mint’s menthol and carvone content make for a crisp, refreshing, and highly aromatic gin.
The increased amount of Japanese peppermint was harvested at GOOD GRIND FARM in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture.
The three of us on the distillation team were privileged to visit them during the harvest!
When harvesting, the aroma of the hackberries blew through the air with the wind, and a fresh scent covered the area as if your breath was soaking just working on the harvest.
