In 2020, the kraut gin brand “YASO” was born, and in 2022, the Echigo Yakuso Distillery was opened.
It was then reborn as THE HERBALIST YASO to introduce Japanese “gin” to the world from Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
Finally, starting January 1, 2023, we will sell our regular product, THE HERBALIST YASO GIN!
The concept is “imaginary fruits in the forest. Imaginary fruits that do not actually exist.
This mysterious fruit has a fresh, fruity, sweet aroma with a hint of spice and an oriental flavor. The aroma of herbs and trees are then added to create a special flavor with a herbal and refreshing aroma that THE HERBALIST YASO believes will leave a lasting impression on the nose.
Using a large distillation machine at the distillery, the temperature is gradually raised and carefully distilled over time to create a fragrant gin without losing the flavor of the botanicals.
The 20 botanicals that create the fragrance are further carefully selected and distilled into 7 parts. The distillation method is varied to maximize the aroma of each.
