YASO GIN limited edition 11 “Hebesu” on sale on Tuesday, November 15!
The limited edition gin for November is a gin made with “Hebesu”.
It may not be a familiar citrus in some areas.
Hebesu is a type of citrus that originated in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture. It tastes similar to sudachi and kabosu, but has a softer acidity. The hebesu has a larger fruit ball than sudachi, a gentler aroma than kabosu, and a thinner skin than yuzu, and it produces a lot of juice. The skin turns from blue to yellow and the aroma changes as it ripens.
This time, we used JAS-certified organic hebesu from Nariai Hebesu En, located in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, where hebesu is grown.
The hebesu peels are peeled when the skin begins to turn from blue to yellow and distilled in a basket to create a gin with a soft green citrus aroma, and the fruit is soaked in the first distillate of the original gin before distillation to create a gin with a fresh juice-like flavor.
How about a little luxurious dinner time with Hebesu’s gin, a perfect accompaniment to warm hot pot?
