2022 Limited Ed. 10 “Lemonade”

How is everyone doing? My name is Yamada, and I will be in charge of this month’s Diary.
There were not many clear and sunny days in September due to typhoons and other factors.
I was so depressed by the low-pressure system that my motivation was sapped.
October is personally my favorite month, and there are many events coming up this year.

I have to preface this by saying that the limited edition for October is “Lemonade”.
The sweet and bitter aroma of lemon, combined with the lush scent of fresh rosemary and the sweet aroma of orange flower, makes this lemonade a deep and mature lemonade.
How about spending a melancholy autumn evening with a bitter sweet gin in your hand as you gradually feel the cold?

This will be our second distillation after moving to a new distillery.
We are still in the process of distilling, and there are still a lot of things we are still exploring.
I feel that the change in machinery has greatly reduced the burning aroma and the bitterness that comes out towards the end of the distillation process.
Again, the botanicals used in addition to the gin are distilled and blended separately from the gin.
We put everything in the basket except lemon zest, but we really put a lot of it in.
A large amount of lemon peels, rosemary, and orange fuller are placed in a three-tiered basket.
By the way, 20 kg of lemons, including the fruit, are blended into this Limited10.
It was hard work peeling off the skins one by one, but thanks to the delicious lemon aroma, I was able to do it without feeling overwhelmed.

Everything is set and distillation begins.
As I write this diary, I am still in the process of completing it, and I am very nervous about it, but the prototype I made was very good, so I will wait until it is finished with high expectations.
As we were talking about yesterday, the new distillation machine seems to go well with citrus fruits…!
I feel like we are able to express freshness as it is.

Lemonade” is a limitededition10 “Lemonade” with an abundance of lemon and accents of orange flower and rosemary.
The new distillation process gives the lemonade a clearer flavor, which combined with the fresh sweet bitterness of the lemon, makes it a very approachable and mature lemonade.
Incidentally, when I was deciding what to add to the subs, I also tried it with ginger ale, and I personally liked it too.
It has a sweet taste that makes it more like lemon ginger than lemonade, which I would like to drink when the weather gets a little colder.
We hope you will enjoy it in various ways.

That’s it for this edition of the Diary!
October has been a busy month with events and distillery openings, but I hope you’ll check out our social networking sites.
By the way, today I enjoyed a meal with non-alcoholic beverages at the pairing lab above. Even with non-alcoholic beverages, the atmosphere alone is intoxicating.
Thank you very much for your time! Please look forward to the next issue of the Diary!
