How are you all doing?
This is Umeda from Echigoyakuso Distillery.
It seems like it has been a long time since I have been in charge of this diary. When was the last time?
Well, we have finally arrived at this point in this year.
A lot has happened, especially since the summer when preparations for the distillery were in full swing, and I don’t remember much until the opening in October.
To be honest, I don’t have much to say, but I am happy that we were able to have a successful opening.
It was a new beginning, but I suddenly realized that summer was over before I knew it.
Before I knew it, summer was over and the sun was setting early.
And there are only two more limited editions of 2022 left this year.
In November, we used Hebesu gin, just before the fruit is about to turn from blue to yellow. The aroma is just starting to become a little gentler.
It has a greenness, but it is less stimulating, softer, and has a citrus acidity.
The gin is also adjusted to make the best use of this nuance.
If we were to describe it in a sentence, it would be like a gin that gently wraps fresh citrus fruits.
It is good to drink it with soda or tonic water, but this time it is interesting to drink it with FeverTree ginger ale, which I would like you to try.
Limited11 Hebesu gin, on sale November 15, so stay tuned!
