The May Limited is a "Chromodi" gin.
Gin lovers may have heard of this botanical.
Kuromoji, often used as a botanical in Japanese gin, is a camphoraceous tree native to the mountains of Japan that contains terpineol, linalool, cineole, and limonene, giving the plant a clean, fresh, yet luxurious and calming aroma.
Its branches are used as chopsticks and high-grade toothpicks, and Sen no Rikyu shaved fresh kuromoji twigs and served them with tea cakes.
The key botanicals used in this project are from Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, which has a fragrant black locust that has been used in Japan for centuries.
YASO's alcohol, which contains plenty of wormwood as an ingredient, is combined with the fresh aroma of kuromoji, making this gin perfect for the fresh green season.
