We are pleased to announce that Echigo Yakuso Distillery won a special award, the "Best Japanese Craft Gin Distillery Award" at the Tokyo Whiskey & Spirits Competition ("TWSC") 2025, one of the largest liquor competitions in Asia.
The "Best Japanese Craft Gin Distillery Award" is given to the distillery that has been most active during the year, as selected by the TWSC Executive Committee.
About TWSC2025
The TWSC is one of the largest whisky and spirits competitions in Asia, where whiskies and spirits from around the world are judged based on the delicate palate cultivated by the Japanese culture. Organized by the TWSC Executive Committee, chaired by whisky critic Mamoru Tsuchiya, the purpose of the TWSC is to communicate high-quality whiskies and spirits from around the world through the competition, and to foster the development of whisky and spirits drinkers in Japan who will be responsible for the future development of whisky and spirits culture.

THE HERBALIST YASO GIN ORANGE from Echigo Herbalist Distillery won Gold and Best of the Best awards in 2023 and 2024; in 2025, it won its first Top Gold Award and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. THE HERBALIST YASO Absinthe prototype03 won the Best Category Award and the Highest Gold Award.
