The theme for the May Limited Edition is "Zins that would go well with spiced food".
A fragrant gin with a somewhat exotic aroma that combines fragrant rice called Princess Sally, strawberry, five spices distilled singly, spruce, and fig leaf.
Princess Sally is a type of aromatic rice bred from Basmati rice to suit the Japanese climate, and is characterized by its popcorn-like aroma.
Along with the aroma of juniper berries, the characteristic aroma of Princess Sally's popcorn and the slight sweetness characteristic of grains spread in the mouth, while cumin and other spices gradually take on an outline.
The strawberries are a juicy, sweet, and fragrant variety called "Echigohime" from Niigata Prefecture. By distilling with reduced pressure, we have tried to bring out the characteristics of Echigohime. The balance is achieved with a subtle hint of strawberry in the depths of the aroma of princess sally and spices.
This month's gin, rich in aroma, is recommended to be mixed with soda or tonic, or sipped slowly on the rocks or straight.
