ニガヨモギ特有の独特な風味に、スターアニスやアニスシードのオリエンタルな香りとほのかな甘み、フェンネルとハッカの爽やかな香りが乗った味わいで、ほんのりと薔薇の上品な香りが余韻に感じられます。
YASOアブサンのレギュラーラインナップである、プロトタイプ03はニガヨモギやスパイスなどを一緒に蒸留し、その後ハーブ類の漬け込みで色味を抽出し、風味を付け加えていました。
しかし今回はニガヨモギ、アニスシードとスターアニスなどを別々で蒸留し、ブレンドして仕上げています。カット位置などをより細かく見ることで、薔薇と合わさったときに、薔薇の繊細な香りを活かせるよう蒸留方法から少し手を加え、工夫しました。
使用した薔薇は食用バラである、さ姫。花束を連想させる、瑞々しくフルーティーな香りと、そしてバランスの取れた華やかさとツルッとした口当たりが特徴的です。
飲み方は、スタンダードに水を加えて白濁していく様子を楽しむのはもちろん、トニックやソーダで割るのもおすすめです。
