It is characterized by a complex flavor profile that blends the savory notes of cucumber and melon with the floral aromas of rose geranium and lavender.
You can enjoy a fragrance that is reminiscent of flowers blooming by the water in early summer.
A “blending method” that brings out the unique characteristics of each botanical ingredient
A distinctive feature of the YASO GIN series is its “blending method,” which involves distilling each botanical separately.
We distill each ingredient—such as juniper berries, cucumber, melon, and rose geranium—separately, using either atmospheric or vacuum distillation depending on the specific ingredient.
We carefully bring out the unique aromas and flavors of each ingredient to create a complex, multi-dimensional flavor profile.
Distillation that brings out the full potential of cucumbers
What we paid particular attention to this time was the method of distilling the cucumbers.
By macerating sliced cucumbers in the base spirit and generously using them in the distillation basket, we have extracted the cucumber’s distinctive fresh aroma and its umami flavor, which includes subtle notes of saltiness and bitterness.
The distillate on its own has such a vivid flavor that it could truly be described as “cucumber itself.”
A robust core of juniper berries is layered with the freshness of cucumber and the green notes of melon, forming the unique flavor base of this gin.
